Meet Kelly
Owner of Stitch Your Legacy
Kelly has always loved making things by hand, whether it’s sewing, crocheting, or dreaming up new ways to get creative. Sharing what has helped her get through being a trauma nurse and life challenges, Kelly turned it into a creating a space where people can slow down, connect, and create together.
She started Stitch Your Legacy with the hope of building something more than just a craft studio. It’s a place where everyone, regardless of age or experience, can feel at home, pick up a new skill, or simply enjoy the company of others while creating something meaningful. Kelly brings patience, joy, and a genuine love for community into everything she does, and she’s always ready to help you get started.
Meet Hannah
Manager of Stitch Your Legacy
Hannah’s love for making began early, as she learned to sew alongside her Oma and fell in love with the creative process. She has always been drawn to fashion and design, watching Project Runway, dreaming of fashion school, and imagining a life built around creating. In 2012 and 2013, she had the privilege of doing hair at NYC Fashion Week for multiple runway shows.
Although her path didn’t lead straight into fashion design, creativity remained at the center of her work. With a background in cosmetology and marketing, Hannah has spent over a decade blending creativity, storytelling, and people.
In January 2025, Hannah came to Stitch Your Legacy as a student to reignite her love for sewing. What began as a personal creative reset grew into something more, especially as she began making alongside her kids. Hannah believes creativity should feel welcoming and accessible, and that making things together is one of the best ways to build connection and confidence.
About the Studio
Stitch Your Legacy was built on the belief that making something by hand can be both comforting and empowering. It’s a place to pause the noise, try something creative, and feel supported while you do it.
From the start, the studio was meant to be more than just a place to take a class. People of all ages gather here, some learning for the first time, others returning to a skill they’ve missed. What they often say is: it feels like the kind of shop you don’t see much anymore. Less about perfection, more about people.
Every visit is shaped by a spirit of generosity, encouragement, and shared creativity, something that’s been part of the studio since day one, and that continues to grow with every new person who walks through the door.
